【YouTube】Subaru Crosstrek AWD Roller and Slip Test: X-Mode’s Mixed Performance!

We were genuinely surprised by this one! X-Mode delivered a mixed performance, even though we stuck to our tried-and-true ‘recipe.’ Just keep in mind once you exceed 25 mph (40 km/h), X-Mode disengages, so we had to maintain a slower pace to let X-Mode do its thing. Can’t imagine how the Crosstrek Wilderness edition will perform!

Does this mean that the Subaru Crosstrek has a subpar AWD system? No! Remember, it’s one of the rare systems that won’t give up or display overheating or dysfunction warnings during these tests. It’s also a blast to drive in the snow!

All trims come standard with the revised Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which offers faster reaction time, delivers more agile handling, and provides better cornering performance both on and off-road. X-MODE with Manually Selectable Hill Descent Control maximizes control on slippery surfaces and steep inclines. The Onyx and Limited versions receive the dual-mode X-MODE function capable of overcoming even more varied conditions.

Test model: 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Onyx Sapphire Blue Pearl with premium gray fabric interior (sport). $41,969.32 (with tax in cash) / $49,315.92 (with tax and financed 6.49% over 60 months).
